This policy outlines BuildRSA’s commitment to safeguarding children who use our platform. We are dedicated to creating a safe, respectful, and empowering digital environment for all users, particularly minors.
For the purposes of this policy, a child is any individual under the age of 18, in accordance with South African law and international standards.
BuildRSA is not intended for children under the age of 13. Any accounts found to be created by individuals under this age will be suspended and investigated. Parental consent is required where applicable.
Content that is harmful to children, including but not limited to exploitation, abuse, violence, and inappropriate material, is strictly prohibited. Such content will be removed immediately and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
We encourage users to report any content or behaviour that puts children at risk. Reports can be submitted directly through the platform or via email at childprotection@buildrsa.co.za. We investigate all reports promptly and take appropriate action.
BuildRSA team members are trained to recognise, respond to, and report any signs of child abuse or risk. Staff must uphold the highest standards of conduct in all interactions involving minors.
We collaborate with child protection organizations and comply with national and international child safety regulations. This includes cooperation with law enforcement when required.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to monitor and guide their children’s use of BuildRSA. We provide tools to help parents manage their child’s digital interactions.
This policy is reviewed regularly and updated to ensure relevance, effectiveness, and compliance with evolving legal and social standards.
